Over carbed due to temp changes?

So I have looked at the chart for carbing based on temp/vols etc. I recently converted an old mini fridge into a kegerator and the first few pours were perfect. I carbed up using the set and forget method. Recently I noticed that the kegerator was not holding temp (bottom was reading at near...

Kegging newbie facepalm - fail - woe - learning curve

I made the same mistake BUT I also lost about 1/2 to 3/4 of my first brew. Then due to all of my problems I left the lid on the keg partially open (not sure why I opened it) and it got contaminated. I've learned alot from that first keg!

    ISO Idaho Breweries

I am currently searching for beers solely out of Idaho. The reason being that I drew Idaho for my Beer Fest party in June and they are not readily availalbe here in NY. I would like to hopefully do a 12 bottle swap with the plan to do a larger one closer to the party if I find something I like.

    Buffalo Brew Club anyone?

No worries if you are and are interested keep me in mind. Our plan is not so much to look for anything special in the beer or what you used to make it etc, we are more interested in what people like. Thinking about maybe doing a silent ballot of the beers on hand with the highest rated taking...

    Buffalo Brew Club anyone?

Hey guys I am a little late to the party as I just started roaming the site. My buddy and I have been brewing for about a year and he has done about 20 different styles. I am doing a Brewfest at my house in June and wanted to know if anyone in the area was interested in a "Brew Off"...

    Mystery

So after refilling the co2 and hooking everything up (after searching for the leak) again after 2 days I was empty again AND I had beer everywhere. I refilled and decided I would recheck the entire coupler. I left it hooked up this time since there was probably only a pint or so left and found...

    Show us your bar!!!!!

Still have some work to do but here is layout. Eventually taking down the tap tower in the back and redoing, the counter tops need to be fixed.

    Mystery

I think you lost me on this one. My homebrew is in a corny with barbed fittings. This was not the beer that I lost. My Southern Tier IPA was the sankey and it has screw on type fittings. We will see what happens. If there is a leak at least I have narrowed it down to that line.

    Mystery

Here is the splitter that they recommended at a local store. I am not seeing anything about a check valve in the description. Should I invest in something different?

    Mystery

Recently I had some issues with CO2 leaks which have been resolved but, there is one thing I still can not figure out. I had a keg of Southern Tier IPA hooked up with a sankey. Poured fine had no issues at all. After hooking up a home brew and NOT touching the PSI on the CO2 the next day I...

    CO2 Questions

Thanks for everyone's replies. The more I looked into it I think my issue has been from placement of everything. Every time I need to get to the co2 I have had to move something. I think everything has ended up getting loose over the moves. I am going to put the co2 into the fridge and then...

    CO2 Questions

So since adding the second line and splitter I seem to be having issues. It appears I have a co2 leak somewhere. I did the soapy water trick and tightened up any areas that bubbled. I even went as far to double check seals on my kegs (at the risk of ruining the beer) and everything seemed...

    Have a problem!?!?

I have found that as the beer sits with constant carbonation that both the smell and taste have been changing. It has only been on the line now for about 10 days with constant carbonation (after the initial issues). I will continue to monitor it and see what happens. I was curious as to what...

    Have a problem!?!?

My buddy loves to brew and I figured since I was building a bar in my new house that we would put his beer on tap. I can not answer to many technical questions about the brewing process so hopefully someone can help me out. He has been bottling but this was his first keg project. After...
