Can I add pumpkin pie flavor after my beer is kegged?

Hey all, I have about 4 gallons of a malty Oktoberfest that I kegged five weeks ago. This beer just isn't doing it for me. I seem to taste a little twang to it. I want to see if I can add some type of pumkin pie flavoring (ie. brewcraft?) or spices to this to maybe mask some of that twang and...

    Stirplate Starter Question

So I put together my homemade stirplate 2 weeks ago, and purchased a 1000ml flask. I boiled maybe 850ml of water with 3 ounzes of DME in the flask, cooled to 70, added a vial of liquid yeast (Ringwood). This gave me the 1000ml needed. I placed tin foil on top and let the stiplate do its job...

    2nd Thoughts on a 10 gallon batch

I wanted to brew my first 10 gallon batch tommorow and I am having 2nd thoughts. I already milled my grain at the LHBS for a 10 gallon batch. Can I mix the grain well enough to split this into two 5 gallon batches, or would you not take the chance? My concerns of not doing a 10 gallon batch is...

Whats up with a 90 minute boil?

I am brewing an all grain recipe for an oatmeal stout this weekend. The recipe calls for a 90 minute boil as opposed to a 60 minute boil. There will be a 90, 15, and 1 minute hop addition. What is the purpose for extending a boil to 90 minutes? What does this accomplish?

    Papazians Stouts

I'm up in the air about which stout to make. Its between Charlie's Barrel full of Monkeys Wheat Oatmeal Stout, or his Dusty Mud Irish Stout. Both are all grain recipes. Has anyone made these and if so had did they come out? I would really like a smooth roasty stout to sip on during the upcoming...

    O'dells Double Pilsner

I bought a six pack of O'dells single batch Double Pilsner http://www.odells.com/beers/sbs/double_pilsner.aspx on Friday after work. Boy this stuff really kicked my butt! Great light fruity taste that went down really smooth but the high alcohol content put me to bed early. It cost about ten...
