My first batch was an interesting start and simple as.... can be!
5 gallons of apple juice 1 lb of brown sugar and I think 1 irish yeast pack, put it all in a fermented bucket for 3 weeks.... and carved for 2 in bottles... came out sort of like a dry apple wine but it was good.... lesson learned...
I recent got ahold of a 50’x 1/2” od coil of copper tubing and was thinking of making a new wort chiller out of it. My old chiller was great in my 3 and 5 gal pots but I now also have a 9 and 10 gal pots which are taller and wider.... so obviously I need a taller chiller.... does anyone else...

So I'm debating on a quick easy recipe and I was curious as to everyone else's thoughts on it... I'm kind of going for a generic apple pie or better if possible... Any ideas or recommendations are appreciated!

Diverpat what are you using for your temp control? I have a heat belt and 2 stc 1000 but I believe the stc is only rated 10amp not sure what the freezer pulls
Wow only thing I can really comment on is the open valve, luckily I learned on my first batch and it was only when I went to mix my star San and the bucket was still in the sink, I couldn't imagine loosing all that sweet nectar, I also recently learned to be sure to turn my spigot to the side...
When did it gain to 200mph, when I was in the service it was only rated at 100mph lol but then again that tape was not very tacky but a half a roll would secure a newbie in his sleeping bag for some time lol and a few old NCOs to the howitzer tube for a few primer shots lol ahh the memories !
Double bagged, but the bags are just temporary until I have my gallon jugs frozen, will most likely throw a towel in to soak up any condensation as needed since I will be checking the ice chamber at least once a day
