I just started brewing my first batch, a hard apple cider with brown sugar and Irish ale yeast, a friend of mine suggested using mason jars for bottling, they only cost like $5 a case and could make a cool serving/drinking container. Not to mention easy storage and various sizes. Has anyone tried this? Any feed back would be great!

do not use mason jars, they are only made for holding vacuums (for canning), not pressure. If you do, you will get shards of glass flying everywhere. Not fun!

Thanks nicklepickles, so if I do an in carbonated it would be ok just no carbonated in mason jars !?
