    1 month in secondary, do I need to repitch yeast?

    Hello, I used a pack of dry yeast for this batch and it sat in primary for 1 week and now secondary for 1 month (4 weeks and a half to be precise), should I repitch some yeast before bottling or am I good to go and I can bottle it and just wait longer for it to be properly carbonated? Thanks!

    Is this rubber washer safe?

    Hello, I built a mash tun (and an immersion chiller, works beautifully!) and used some rubber washers to have a good seal, but I'm wondering if they are actually safe for homebrewing. Will the high mash temperatures degrade them or could they give some off flavors to my beer? Thanks!

    BIAB: Should I use a hop bag/sock?

    I've read that they contribute to a loss of utilization of hops and that I should consider that in my recipes. What are your experiences with that? If it matters at all, in my case the wort is transferred from kettle to primary fermenter with an auto-siphon.
