Temp controller mess up...Is my beer ruined?

Don't worry about it. I messed up and somehow set my ferm chamber for 38, didn't notice until the next morning. Corrected my mistake, it took another 12 hours for it to warm back up, and is doing fine now. I now am worrying about a blow out!

Copper Kettle Mexican Chocolate Stout Recipe

She helps brew when she can, and is my assistant bottler. I really like the way the peppers just linger on you tongue. I will be doing this one again.

Copper Kettle Mexican Chocolate Stout Recipe

I made this one myself, and am very pleased with it. The peppers are not at all overwhelming, the cinnamon and caco come out very nice. My wife loves it!

    Rims system

It cools my wort down from 190 to 70 instantly. I have no opinion on gas v 220, I have only ever used gas.

    Rims system

I have the Brew Easy in 5 gal gas version and love it. As you can see from the picture, I have it next to a large powered vent, so CO and moisture are not a problem. If you are not the handy type, and are looking for a turnkey, unpack it and brew system, then I would recommend this system.

There is an entire thread in the "Equipment and Sanitation" section on the BrewEasy. Check out the thread, a lot of good info and videos there. I own the 5 gal gas turnkey system and love it.

No-Sparge Calculations On A Blichmann BrewEasy

Beersmith has an equipment profile for the BrewEasy. You need to got to add on's. And download the new profile. Then just add the mash water needed with the sparge water, and add it all at once. For the 5 gal setup, it is around 8.75 gallons.

Tower of Power LTE Pilotless Elec Control Ignition

Do you have the gas valve plugged into the back of the ToP, or the outlet box on the stand? I made that mistake on my first brew with the BE.

    Blichmann BrewEasy

So I did my first brew on th 5 gal BE gas system on Saturday. Considering that this was my very first all grain brew, I think it went very well. This was mainly thanks to this thread, and Dana's video. I adjusted my water and obtained a 5.3 ph during my mash, followed Dana's advice on...

    Blichmann BrewEasy

Danam, Just watched your video, great job! I learned a lot. I will be using my BE for the first time on Satursay, and this has helped explain a lot of what I have been reading in this thread. Thanks for taking the time to make and post this. Rick

    Blichmann BrewEasy

Well, after following this thread for the past year, I ordered a 5 gal gas BE turnkey system from Great Fermentations. What a great company to deal with, I was kept well informed by Brian as to ship dates and back order issues. I will be doing a test run and initial cleaning during the week with...

    Two nights in Chicago

If you want good pizza and good beer, go to Gino's East on Lasalle Street. If you like deep dish, Gino's is the place, and they also brew their own beer there as well. Another good spot is Piece Brewery and Pizza on North Ave. in Wicker Park. They do a great pizza, and have some great beers on...
