Kentucky Single tier brew system (Local pickup) $1,200

The folks at Nor Cal etched it in there when they built the false bottom. I think it normally says "cheers" but I just asked if they would do something different and the were awesome to work with.

Please help pick a compatible burner/regulator

Thanks for the reply. I plan on using no wind deflectors and probably position maybe 3 inches under keggle (I need to do more research on this). Mainly brewing in garage with door fully open and occasionally out in driveway during summer. I am leaning toward the bg10 jet burners with a high...

Please help pick a compatible burner/regulator

Hey guys, I need your advice as to which burner to install on my current brew sculpture project. I will be using keggles (I finally decided to bite the bullet and convert some new kegs) and they will be sitting on a 1 1/2" square tube steel frame. I am going with a single tier three vessle...

    3 vessel, single-tier Aluminum set-up?

I've already decied to go from my current three tier 5 gallon setup to a single-tier stand, pump, three vessel setup. I really like the look of all three vessels being the same whether they are pots or keggles so I'd like go from a cooler hlt, cooler mash tun, and aluminum pot to all three of...

Historical Beer: Kentucky Common "Kiss Yer Cousin" Rye Kentucky Common Ale

I agree...this beer carbs more quickly than anything I've ever bottled before (not that I have a ton of experience). I used regular dextrose for my bottling so I don't think it's just that you used sucrose vs dextrose. It's a really fantastic beer. Easy to brew and carbs quickly. Sent...

When do I sanitize the beverage out line?

Thanks to all. That answers my question. What I'll likely do is run sanitizer through it while sanitizing the keg prior to racking and then remove it, drain the line and keep is someplace relatively clean until a couple days down the road. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

When do I sanitize the beverage out line?

As the title says. I did try searching but I find the iphone app to be less than stellar when searching for topics. 1- when I keg my first batch this week I plan on force carving by setting 20-30psi for a couple days, then dropping the pressure to 10ish and seeing what I've got. During...

Carmelizing boil for a Wee Heavy

Thanks, Yooper. That makes sense. Sense no sugars of significant amount are being evaporated than I guess that wouldn't really change the end result. May I ask, if and when you use this technique, do you generally add more sparge water to achieve pre-boil volume or do you just add top off...

Carmelizing boil for a Wee Heavy

I'm really excited to try a Wee Heavy. One of my favorite styles when I'm not in the "hop" mood. I have been working on beersmith to develop my recipes with good luck so far. But now it hit a snag and need some words from experience, please. I decided I need to keep it (recipe) simple. I...
