    The sludge is yeast part of the point of racking is to leave the yeast and trub behind. I strongly recommend sanitizing the blueberries to avoid infection.

    My advice to you is this: try to think of your ultimate end goal. Is it 10 gallon? Is it a RIMS?     My deep thoughts: purely financiallyAG is cheaper because base grain is cheaper than extract. However the cost of more equipment time and constant search for upgrades in reality makes beermaking in general less economical then most would care to admit
