    Got a great deal on a brew sculpture... old HERMS system but I have process questions

    it is a 3 tier sculpture, the HLT contains the copper coil and there is a pump that pulls from the bottom of the mash tun up the the coil ports in the HLT. The HLT is direct fire with propane burners and the mash tun has no direct heating, just the coil in the HLT. I have several questions...

    Just moved into a place with a pool (chlorine type) and I was thinking of using a pump and using the liquid for chilling purposes to save water. Are there any precautions I need to make when using the pool to chill? Will the chlorine in the water cause any long term damage to the counterflow...

    Help me chose chiller upgrade

    check out zchillers if you get a coil type cfc. they have a convoluted star type of tubing on the inside and are great people. I just placed an order because the plate chillers seem like a ***** to clean if there is a clog due to cold break or hop matter.

    Can I use gelatin to clarify after I have carbonated the beer in the keg?

    probably cold crashed for 24ish hours, then kegged and carbed for 5 days now. Really hazy, I don't think its going to clear up too much more.

    I was not able to find the answer to this question with a quick search so forgive me if this is a repost. IPA looks like a nasty wheat beer right now and it is bugging me. If the answer is no, what clarifying options do I have at this point?

    I have a marks keg/carboy washer but these things have been sitting outside for who knows how long. Will an hour or two on the keg washer be enough to get all the crap out of it for fermenting in? Should I boil a bunch of water in it before I use them? Any other tips or techniques?
