    Wisconsin Micro brewers

I'm from Kenosha, I might have to stop by Rustic Road and try that. Both times I stopped in there it was shoulder to shoulder so I didn't stick around. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

Left fermcap-s out of fridge for 18 hours.

It's just silicone based anti-foam. I'm a pasteurizer and we use the same thing for orange juice before processing it. Keep a five gallon bucket at room temp. Never once had it go bad. By the way it only takes about 2 to 3 ounces to defoam 2000 gallons of juice. Kind of amazing to see that stuff...

Too Low Of Temperature for Danstar Windsor Yeast?

I don't know about the yeast, but you will want to age that particular beer for a couple months. I've brewed it a couple times before and it's not so great after it initially carbs. After two or three months it is amazing! Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

Heady Topper: Drink from the can or from the glass

Why does it look like that anyway? I've had beers with just as much if not more hops that are crystal clear. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

Extract Brewers and Mr. Beer Experts, I NEED YOUR HELP!

I think I would put some of that on E-Bay or something. It would be impossible to use it up before it goes bad. Especially since all those are pre hopped extracts. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

Makers 46 - French Oak Staves

Is that in Kentucky? My sister lives in Louisville, I'm gonna have to see if she can get one for me next time she's coming to visit. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

    2.5 gallon batches

One more question. How hard is it to keep your mash temp. in a kettle with it not being insulated and all? Do you cover and let it rest, or keep checking temp. and adjusting? Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

    2.5 gallon batches

I'm planning on doing a five gallon mash. Hopefully ending up with three gallons of wort. Post fermentation I'm guessing I should have about 2.5 gallons. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

    2.5 gallon batches

I want to start brewing all grain BIAB 2.5 gallon batches. The reason for the 2.5 gallon batch is because I'm thinking it would be easier to do with the BIAB method. Also, easy to convert 5 gallon recipes. If the batch isn't the best I will end up with 1 case instead of 2. If I brew a batch I...

    Should I dry hop?

I knew I would catch a little flak for that question, and it's all good with me. Just wanted the opinion of people with more experience. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

    Should I dry hop?

Well.. I suppose I'm going to dry hop it. I already have the Amarillo anyway. The reason I asked is because this is the most hops I've put in a beer so far. I personally love ipa's, 90 min. And Burton Baton practically have a designated spot in my fridge. I just don't want it to be too...

    Should I dry hop?

I brewed a IPA last week and I'm not sure if I should dry hop or not. It was an extract batch using 6.6 lbs. LME and 1 lbs. DME. The hops were 1 oz. magnum at 60, and 3 oz. Citra 1/2 oz 20 min. 1/2 oz 15 min. 1/2 10 min. 1/2 5 min. 1 oz. whirlpool. The Citra hops were 14.1 AA. If I dry...

Craft Breweries in Door County WI

New Glarus is probably the only craft beer you will find in Door County. They have an awesome brewery but it's about four hours south of Door county. If you pass by there I highly recommend stopping by. It's a self guided tour and you can take beers from the tasting room with you as you check...

Craft Breweries in Door County WI

The only one I know of is Shipwrecked brewpub in Egg Harbor. The beer is really not very good. Went there last August with my wife. If you are staying in Door County for a few days I would suggest taking beer with you. I wish I had. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

Cream ale, American wheat or weizenbier?

I brew a cream ale that all my family and friends like a lot. 8 oz. carapills, 8 oz. biscuit malt, 3.3 lbs. LME, 2 lbs. Pilsen DME, 2 oz. northern brewer hops and a pound of dextrose. Ferment with S05. I've had people offer to pay me to make this for them. It turns out very well and is perfect...
