    Keg Filling Easy Procedure

I've seen on some tutorials where they leave CO2 valve open and just open the vent several times. To me that's more of a purge/sweep. To me I want almost total replacement. Close CO2 each time and depressure to almost nothing. Shouldn't take many times. That's how we do it at work on large...

Slight rust spots inside sanke fermenter

We used citric where I worked before as a metal scavenger. Don't remember concentration. We mixed granules and water. You can get citric with canning supplies.

    What's the best leak tester?

We use dawn/water at work to leak check. Very little soap is fine.

    Motivation...

I got lazy about it but finally went all grain a few batches ago. Now I got the fever. Guess it's more rewarding. And I also have a toddler instead of a baby now.

    Cold crashing with multiple carboys?

How do you all go about cold crashing a batch when there may be another batch still fermenting? I've got a temp controlled freezer as my fermentor. For now I can move it to my garage fridge to crash but I plan to make that my kegerator. Thanks

    First time kegger question

I just kegged two batches. I set the pressure at 10psi. Was gonna leave it there for about 4 days for carbing (per a kegging tutorial on youtube) then lower it. I've got those taps that connect directly to top of keg. So does this 10psi thing sound ok and what would be a good serving...

    Floating lid?

Has anyone used a floating lid in their (drinking water cooler) mash tun? I'm gathering stuff to start all grain brewing. I was thinking of buying a thick plastic cutting board and cutting it to fit the cooler, drilling a hole for digital temp probe and maybe putting a handle on it. You know...
