    is something wrong?

    My first year hops have been in the ground now for about six weeks now. The sprout the first week of may. They are still only about 6-8 inches tall. I see all the picks of the bines already being trained and wonder if something is wrong?

    Russian imperial stout

    smoked corned beef

    We have a little tradition in my house that we have smoked corned beef Reuben sandwiches on St. Paddy's. We had to put it off a day this year but it was still just as good. Washed it down with a 2011 Schafly reserve Bourbon barrel aged imperial stout.

    Is this possible? I know it wouldn't technically still be a wit. I guess I'm more wondering if the flavors would even work. Anyone tried anything like this?

    what to use?

    What do you all use as a container to ferment say a gallon test batch? I've got a hybrid in mind but don't want to make five gallons if it sucks. Also I don't really have yeast culturing capabilities but can I still just pitch a vile? Can u over pitch?
