I'm starting to plan a new smoker build. I want it to be insulated. I want to use the dense mineral wool insulation thats about an inch thick. They use it to insulate kiln and forges. I'd like to source it locally to avoid crazy shipping prices but not totally ruling it out. The local fireplace store was no help.

Anyone used this? Any suggestions as to where to look?

Any ideas welcome and my thanks!

Their shipping is always very reasonable

I would imagine the sheets on the link that PintoBean gave would work fine.
