    Touched the Wort!!!

Hhaha, ya your beer will probably be fine. I have to resist the urge to jump in my batches as it is. So a little touch won't be a big deal. I think sanitation is important but I also think some people get a little freaked out by it too. Beer seems to do fine most of the time. Any time I have to...

    Website question

I posted this question originally in the beginner brew forum then realized I might get a better answer here among the seasoned home brewers. So between myself and a few friends we have a few web pages in development and are looking to post some of our videos and brew reviews and beer related...

    Bottle Conditioning and active yeast?

And because I no longer use my Carboy for secondaries, it has now become an additional primary. So I can get even more brews going at once. Usually I use it for cider, but I did double up some mr beer ingredients in it to make a 4.5 gal batch.

    Bottle Conditioning and active yeast?

On the topic of secondaries... I did the same recipe twice, once using a secondary, once without. I don't know that I saw any difference either. It was just a straight forward IPA. I can see a possible need for secondaries with certain recipes but after about 10 batches under my belt, I would...

    Don't brew drunk!!!

best way to remove bottle labels

some bottles are better than others. I am a huge fan of sierra nevada bottles because they clean up so SOOO easy. And its no punishment to have to turn a case of full bottles into empty bottles so I can brew..hahha

    First IPA weird after taste

Definitely let it sit in the bottles for a few more weeks. I have had this exact problem with a kit beer, time cures all ills. I'm no expert but I have learned to trust the "time" part of home brewing. Curious which kit you used? you said generic IPA, just wondering which kit.

read if you use MR BEER kit

Don't the bud light bottles come in a screw off ? im not sure because i dont drink it, but if you are re-capping bottles my suggestion is sierra nevada. Bottles are super easy to get the labels off and have a good shape. sam adams is another one that is easy to clean labels off.

Odds and ends, what can I make?

So aside from ordering more supplies online, I'd have to drive over an hour to the nearest home brew supply. I haven't had a batch going for a few months and I feel it's time. So like the cooking show chopped, I'm feeling like if I open my basket, I could make a brew with the odds and ends...

It's Saturday Brewday - Watchya Makin?

Put my pale ale in the secondary, did some bottle cleaning, moved a few bottles from a previous batch to the fridge, prepped gear for my next batch which won't probably happen until after Christmas. Ill be ok until then, I still have fourteen gallons of various brews conditioning. Beyond that...
