What I did for beer today

Made a couple of starters, trying out some yeast blends for the first time. American Farmhouse Blend (WLP670), and the other is a Roeselare Blend, given to me by a local brewery that makes awesome sours. Release the funk.

What I did for beer today

I got lucky the other day, and bought five used corny kegs. The guy was selling 11 of 'em for 40 bucks a pop. So I grabbed 5, and left the others for someone else.

What I did for beer today

Finally bent a 50' x 1/2" copper tubing coil, I had laying around, into a wort chiller. I'd say it's an upgrade! Here it is, next to my old 25' x 3/8" chiller.

What is your go-to online store for bulk hops (pellet) purchase?

Since I didn't see them mentioned already, I really like Labelpeelers, because of the low prices, hop union packaging, and they always have sales going on. I've used a couple other's that I like as well, including, From Grain to Glass, and Farmhouse Brewing Supply.

    What are you drinking now?

I work at a beer bar, so I was able to have some Alpine Nelson on cask earlier, it was great. And when the cask ran out, switched to Alpine Duet on tap, also great...

What I did for beer today

Racked 6 gal of Oat stout, to a couple of 3 gal cornies. Thinking of adding something special to one of 'em. Probably Bourbon, and Oak cubes. It would be a first, for me.

NHC 2015 San Diego- roll call!

Another local here, who also will not be attending NHC, unfortunately. However, I'll be following this thread, and would love to grab some beers with fellow HBTer's. Also, I can help provide some suggestions on places to visit... such as food/restaurants/beaches/breweries/pubs/bottleshops.
