    New to kegging

    Can I prime my batch and transfer into keg and let sit without the use of c02? I currently have a keg but no regulator or c02 tank yet. They are ordered just not here yet.

    Question about sugar for before I bottle

    After I boil 4oz of corn sugar or dex in 2 cups water. Should I let it cool before adding to my brew before I bottle or is it ok to mix in while it is still hot? Just wondering what others do?

    Have been considering doing a chest freezer for a chamber. Today a buddy of mine sent me this picture from work and asked if I was interested. Looks like I good setup to me. If I add a good shelf I think I could fit at least 4 carboys. Has anyone used a cooler like this?

    Adding orange slice to ferment

    I am wanting to add orange slices to my Carboy tonight. I have heard to soak them in vodka to kill the nasties before adding to my brew. I do not have vodka but I do have everclear. Is everclear to high of alcohol or would it matter?

    I just added sugar to my primary

    Light ale extract kit has been in primary since Saturday. Added sugar tonight to up the abv. Almost immediately yeast was happy. Did I ruin my batch. My goal was to up the abv. Any input?

    Abv%

    Brewed an extract kit with a light ale on Saturday. Fermentation is right on at this point but the ABV is low with this recipe. What can I do to up the ABV at this point. Am I too late??? Input please!!!!

    Adding honey to up the ABV%

    I brewed a light ale on Saturday. 2 days into fermentation and all is good. My question is can I add some honey to my Carboy to up the ABV% or should I have done so while in the boil process? This recipe was an extract kit full boil method but with a low ABV% and I would like to up it a bit.

    Extract to change alcohol%

    This may be a dumb post. I am curious though. If I am using an extract kit that calls for 1 4lb liquid malt extract , can I add perhaps another bag to make the alcohol% higher. Or will it just ruin the recipe. How do I raise the alcohol% of kits that I buy when brewing?

    Blow off

    Have my first batch of porter still in my Carboy from 2 weeks ago. I have been using a blowoff tube into a container of star san. The activity has slowed down quite a bit now. Can I leave the blowoff hooked up or do I need to switch to an airlock?
