    WTB Braumeister 50L

I know this is a little late however, I have a 20L Braumeister if you would be interested. It actually holds around 30+L I have only used it twice in the time I have owned it.

    first barely wine

Thanks! Always appreciate that help! I started at 68 because someone mentioned it before and the particular yeast I used (WLP O99 super high gravity)suggested such temperature. Controlling the temp won't be a problem with MoreBeer's heated and cooled conical.

    first barely wine

I use the 25l Braumeister. Found out that 17lbs of grain is its limit. Super thick. Did a 90min mash @ 150. Done 2 batches got 1.078 for both. I would assume that's fairly low for this brew :-/ no dme/lme was added either. It went well and it's fermenting away now @ 68f. Any tips on...

    Looking for a mash schedule

Well I was looking for something very drinkable, even if things would happen to go wrong, plus everything I've made in the past has been dark & malty. I've been reading everything that I can to learn about mashing, reading "Brewing Lager Beers" at the moment, which actually contains info about...

    Looking for a mash schedule

Hey guys! Ok so here's the story, got some pretty awesome things over the holiday to add to the brewery, including a Morebeer 14gal. heated & cooled conical. Anyway, lol! After tax season, hopefully, I will have the $$$ to purchase a Braumeister! I have already purchased 2 all grain kits...

    Hop Math!

The boil times are different, just took a second look. The boil time for the extract is 45min. and the all grain is 90min. I just brought this up as it was vague in how to get to the adjusted HBU's for the all grain, actually it doesn't even mention how in the book anywhere. As said before the...

    Hop Math!

Ok, so the recipe is for a Samuel Smith's Winter Welcome clone as found in "Clone Brews". The extract recipe calls for 1.5oz. of EKG's @ 4.2 AA which is 6.4 HBU's. I know how to calculate the HBU's, amount of hops time's the AA=HBU. HOWEVER, the all grain recipe call's for 4.5 HBU's of EKG for...

watery beer, possibly due to fining agents?

Teromous, thanks! Like I said I followed the directions exactly. Steep times, hop addition times, with 2.5 gallons of O2, same for top of O2. The only thing that was slighty off was the steep temp, it was high by maybe 5 degrees too high. Unfortunately I did not get gravity readings, why idk, I...
