Well, in case anyone is curious, we finally settled on a rather generic name... Tavern 1608 (1608 being the street number) FWIW, this place is currently turning a profit with no promotions/advertising. The current owners are 80 & 72 and ready to retire. Their asking price was ridiculously...

Seriously...we are buying a bar and need to come up with a name quickly for the paperwork. Please...any suggestions at all...

In addition to the skunking problem, I have also discovered that flies like my beer as much as I do. What I really want is a double-walled, stainless steel beer stein. Somebody PLEASE steal this idea! (just give me the first one :-) )

Personally, I would pull a sample from before all that crap and have it tested. Either your well has crappy water or the previous owner was paranoid. (I'm leaning towards the second.) About a year and a half ago I inherited the house that my grandfather built. I brew with the untreated well...
