This is my second attempt at all grain brewing. The first batch went without a hitch but this batch was a little different. I wasn't able to hit my target mash temperatures. I tried mashing in at 154 degrees but was only able to get it up to 142 degrees for 60 minutes. When it came time to mash out at 169 degrees I only hit 160 degrees for 15 minutes. I used the sparge water calculator on brew365.com but must have screwed it up. So my main concern is WHAT ARE THE CONSEQUENCES? the malt bill was:
11 lbs. 2-row
3 lbs. Rye Malt
1.25 lbs. Crystal 60
.5 lbs CaraPils
.5 lbs. flaked wheat
