So I made this mead seems to be doing well, I just got it off of the yeast and into a carboy. I live in florida and have a cooler I ferment in set to like 60 degrees which keeps the mead at around 62-64. Do I have to keep it at that temperature or can I keep it in my house which is around 74-76...
So I have yet to hear a reply from you... Are you willing to take the coupler back or at least give me half my money I paid for the item of which I assumed to be in working condition...
I just kegged the beer! It came out great, it was a little lite in the apricot flavor so I put a teabag in a stainless steel tea ball and tossed it into the keg, what a great boost almost perfect amount of flavor! The beer has a hint of a black tea profile which balances out the hoppyness...
Be careful when steeping tea too long it like anything else starts to release bad flavors when set for long periods, I will attach the advised times and temps per different teas...
I use a tri-clover clamp or whatever it's called, it may also be called "sanitary fitting", of the 2 inch type, then I put another sanitary fitting which goes from 2 inch to 1in NPT threading in which I attach a elbow to a 12X1 inch NPT Nipple to a 1 inch ball valve to a 1 in NPT downspout...
I finished it a couple weekends ago...brewed with it too, worked well, just the first bit had some chunks but I simply put a stainless steel sink screen in front of the stream...
Nice! Yea I had some issues going from primary bucket to secondary carboy and I sucked up some of the loose trub could be that!
I was planning on keging it Saturday should I wait longer?
