Illinois Sabco Brewmagic, Temp Controlled Conicals, Much More

Hey everyone, Thank you all for so much interest in my system. I just received a deposit for my gear so it's likely to be sold this Friday. I'll let you all know if it doesn't work out for some reason.

Yeah, that includes every bit of brewing equipment I have. I actually forgot to list a couple things like my Barley Crusher and stirplate. In all, you'd be getting a complete brewery.

Illinois Sabco Brewmagic, Temp Controlled Conicals, Much More

I am currently trying to sell my really nice homebrewing/commercial brewing setup from a Chicago suburb. I used to work as a professional brewer and I purchased this equipment a few years ago. Unfortunately, I have been diagnosed with Celiac so I haven't been able to brew or drink beer for a...

    Corking Belgians

I just did a quick practice cork in an empty bottle. When the plunger pushed on the cork, it favored one side so it looks like it presses down that side more than the other. I was wondering if anyone has the same issue and does it matter once the cork expands after a while? -Tommy

    Corking Belgians

I am getting ready to cork some Belgian bottles for the first time and I was wondering if anyone had any tips. I'm using the Colonna Capper/Corker, Belgian bottles, and Belgian corks topped with wire hoods. I was wondering how far I should get the cork into the neck of the bottle...

    Ranco 2 Stage Settings

I'm using the controller on a B3 cooled/heated fermenter that doesn't use a compressor, but uses cooling plates and a heat wrap. Would that make a difference?

    Ranco 2 Stage Settings

I just got a Ranco Two Stage Temperature Control for my fermentation cooler/heating pad. I was wondering if setting both circuit 1 (cooling) and circuit 2 (heating) at the same temperature setpoint with the differentials both at 1 degree would be a bad idea. Do any of you do this? Will it...

    It's Friday...who's brewing this weekend?

I'm brewing up an ESB with my girlfriend this weekend. I'm trying to teach her how so it should be a lot of fun.

I bought a Better Bottle today and it was scratched!

Nothing came in the boxes besides the BBs for me. That's pretty annoying that it came with scratches on the inside.

Less priming sugar in a keg?

I've never kegged my homebrew, but how I understand it is that you force carbonate from a CO2 tank when it's kegged instead of using priming sugar. I'm not sure if some people use priming sugar in kegs as well.
