    Control panel PID bypass?

I have just about everything in the diagram except I have a 10A NO switch & 240V light for the element instead of lighted switch. Is that the correct switch? I haven't bought the alarm switch & buzzer yet. Thanks for all the help!

    Control panel PID bypass?

That would work, I just need a reminder to turn off breaker when through.

    Control panel PID bypass?

If you don’t mind that would be great. I’m going to use the adjacent spa panel to act as power switch but I would like an indicator light on panel. Then element switch and light, PID, 240v outlet and RTD outlets. Since the Dspr300 has relay outputs I thought I might put alarm & alarm switch and...

    Control panel PID bypass?

Got it. I haven’t found a diagram for a panel as simple as mine except one without a contactor but I’m sure I can figure it out. Thanks for the help!

    Control panel PID bypass?

I'm installing a spa panel right next to controller. So you mean I should run a cord from it to controller for a disconnect? Both panels will be wall mounted

    Control panel PID bypass?

I don’t have a wall outlet, will just have one on the panel. I’ve no experience with PID controllers and wasn’t sure if running it at 100% would be a good idea. I’m not worried about using both outlets simultaneously if I install another one just didn’t know if it was necessary

    Control panel PID bypass?

I’ve finally finished some huge projects and ready to build my panel, just 1 PID & 1 element. I’d like to have a separate 240V outlet in panel in case I want to hook up something that needs it. Do I have to install another outlet or can I wire up a switch to bypass the PID? I’ll never be using...

    Control panel - final questions

I've been looking at lots of diagrams for control panel (still waiting for couple of parts) Can you skip fuses if you just use 10g wire throughout panel? Seems like I read that somewhere. Mine is 30A 240V panel

    Control panel - final questions

So after much studying (thank you doug293cz and Kal) and figuring I think I'm ready to start building panel. I have an ezboil dspr300. Is the built-in alarm loud enough or do you recommend installing a flashing buzzer. I've got the 2 relays so wouldn't be much trouble I guess. Also, I bought the...

    Time for control panel

I've found some ebay lights and switches I'm gonna order and hope for the best. But I could use some help. I want an element on/off switch & indicator light, emergency stop and possibly an alarm buzzer for a reminder for hop additions. How should I wire the e-stop? Do different switches reset...

    Time for control panel

Yes and yes! Would love to receive advice on design. Any thoughts or ideas will be greatly appreciated. Right now I'm ready to order some switches (element on/off - e-stop) and indicator lights (element, maybe alarm) and plugs (panel mount xlr and l6-30). Where to get good ones?

    Time for control panel

So, I've gotten to the panel stage of my build. I'm just controlling 1 heating element, no pump. I'm gonna be using an EZBoil, 300 model with the 2 extra relays cause it wasn't too much more. I will have my spa panel next to my control panel. I will probably use that breaker as main power...

    Wiring question

I'm thinking of using the spa panel as a power switch to panel (it'll be right next to it) eliminating 120V outlet (2 outlets on wall already) & doing without 240A outlet. Last question, do I need to ground kettle. It has plug attached to element. Thanks again

    Wiring question

Ok so I'm making progress. Ready to install spa panel. Will have 4 wires going into the control panel. I'm using a heating element with the integrated plug attached to it. So I'll run 3 wires to plug (2 hot, 1 ground). Do I just terminate neutral wire in control panel? Could I use it to install...

    Wiring question

I got an electrician friend to come over today and he said I could tie onto the existing 30A dryer circuit in my breaker panel (no room to install new circuit and all breakers already double). So I went to Lowes to get some 10/3 wire (need about 40ft). Price for 50ft was $82. Something inside my...
