    I use lemi-shine every couple of brews on my glass carboys. Cleans off the hard water film i get after soaking the gunk off with oxyclean.

    What is eating my bines?

    So far this year I have had almost half of my bines chewed off as they have reached around 6 feet tall. Last year I had no such problems. I have attached a photo to see if anyone has any ideas what critter/bug is my problem.

    give Brewing Classic Styles http://www.amazon.com/dp/0937381926/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20 a try. All recipies are for rxtract brews with info on how to convert to All grain if needed. I have made several AG brews based on this book and have never been disapointed

    Corsendonk Xmas Ale AG Conversion to Extract

    Have you had a chance to try yours yet this year? I just cracked open a 2014 version of mine that goes by the name "HO HO Argh!!!!' and it has begun to carbonate and has a more complex flavor than lst years extract version. Let us know how yours turns out.

    Safbrew abbaye

    Bottled our Christmas beer this morning - a Belgian specialty ale spiced with bitter orange and Coriander. The sample tasted great. This beer used t-58 last year but was changed over to the new Abbaye yeast this year. Will be able to do a taste testing of the two in a few weeks.

    Ten fidy

    Brought home a growler of ten fidy a month back. didn't last long. Thats good stuff.
