I'm making an AG barley wine next week. I have a rough idea of what I'm doing, but never done this style, and haven't met anyone that makes these. Barley wine's seem like it's:

2. A longer mash
3. Minimal Sparging
4. Longer...
It doesn't matter what you wear. Drink his beer and get him laid. Make no mistake, guys aren't looking at the dress, we're looking at what's inside it.
Just a question: How are the strawberry chunks bigger than the keg straw? My racking tube and auto siphon are about the same size as my keg lines.
My guess is that you have a little sediment that built up at the bottom. I bet it'll clear up after a beer or 2.

You should be fine in the basement. Stay near the door. I brew inside with a propane cooker for the opposite reason. 98 degree weather in Florida. And come to think of it, my stove runs on propane too. I've never considered it a death risk. Just keep the windows open and a fan blowing. It...

Rock on brother. Looking forward to hearing about your progress. I've been brewing for almost 3 years. Opening a brew pub in 2013 when I graduate. You should do the same.
yeah you just have to get the keg coupler for commercial beers. I have one just in case I find myself running low on home made beer, I can pick up a 6keg of Long Hammer IPA for 53 bucks. Don't get caught on it though. Homebrew is why you got that kegerator. Right?
haha Sorry for being ignorant... I like making brownies when I just have to add water and bake for 30 minutes too. They're delicious. But they're not truly homemade. Not hating. Just saying. Step your game up, you'll enjoy it way more.
how much extra did you pay? yeast is typically the most expensive part. I think you'll be alright, it probably wasn't above temp for too long, if it was at all.
