    Muddy Creek Brewery: Hot Break!

2 years and sounds like it has been a fruitful couple of years since the start. Has much really changed since the grand opening? Like most places that are new, has it been a pretty steady crowd or have you seen the varying ups and downs as expected? Really curious since human nature is always...

    Best Brewery Tour you've done

I liked New Glarus as it has a very nice bier garden and tour is self paced. Still wishing to make the hard hat tour soon. I really like the Sprecher tour as it's free for me and it's short since it is a small brewery. Good for kids and non-drinkers sonce they get all the soda they can drink...

Muddy Creek Brewing Co. Brewery Build- Start to Finish Thread

Muddy, Do you have any long term goals for the distribution side of the brewery? Mainly asking if you only plan on keeping your beer within the state or expanding to distribute regionally? I know the brewery hasn't started but it really looks like you guys will be successful with all the...

    Fruit beer--mold or no?

I've gotten that when I used peaches. I just thought it was normal and let it go until bottling. Didnt leave a bad taste or any other adverse effects to my brew. Does get a bit disgusting looking after a couple weeks of dry hopping. If anything I would think it's pectin or yeast by-product...

    A Milwaukee Visit? Input/Advice?

I'm only adding because I enjoy doing a quick brew tour at Sprecher Brewery. Its low priced but all-you-can-drink soda if you dont care for their beer. Im not too familiar with hotels downtown.

    Belma Hops

I ended up making a blond ale with belma and it turned out better than the blonde ale with cascade. Can definitely say it is a good bittering hop. I did a 2 min addition with belma and it added a pleasant melon aroma.

    Need help with off flavor

Can be the fittings on the keg hiding critters. Also the dip tube in the keg. Give the keg a deep clean by taking it apart so all the little nooks get contact with the cleaner. This sounds more like a keg problem. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Home Brew mobile app

Using a metal coin in auto siphon

Scrub the coin with rubbing alcohol and a q-tip and then sanitize it. Hopefully it's a nickel or a penny cause coins that have the jagged edge are a pain to clean.

Looking for a leinenkugel summer shandy clone. Please help

If I were to try it I would add the concentrate when kegging. Keep the sweetness from the lemonade sugars otherwise to me it would just end up like you added lemon juice. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Home Brew mobile app

Looking for a leinenkugel summer shandy clone. Please help

Oops I didnt pay attention to that recipe. Sorry. Try subbing 4.5# pilsen lme and 3# wheat lme. Should come out as 1.052 OG. Instead of doing straight lemon do a lemonade concentrate when kegging or bottling. Taste test and add more concentrate until it's to your liking. Sent from my...
