I've had beer run up my gas line twice while force carbing, no big deal, I ran the keg keg out with normal consumption and just disassembled the reg and cleaned it. Unless the CO2 tank is completely empty, there's no way the beer is going to make it to the high side of the reg.
My times get shorter and shorter as I get better at pre-planning. I'm still fairly new at AG but I know now to get grains and mill them the day before, preheat the sparge water, get ice during the boil if someone is here to watch the pot. If not, then I'll get my ice during the fly sparge and...
yup. I did make it to the LHBS, weighed and milled my grains, and was about to check out when the guy that works there saw the lid starting to dome..
While I'm here, I once sanitized and prepped a corny keg then reached all the way to the bottom of it to adjust the draw tube into the the...
I just hauled a quart jar of washed yeast (my first one) to the LHBS to see if I was on the right track. A few miles of agitation and some warming and I was haulin' a$$ home with a mason jar bomb with the fuse lit. I had to crack the lid every so often to let the pressure out. Luckily I had one...
You'd be hard-pressed to hit yourself in the the leg on the first shot with a glock.
Now back to the Brew Hauler, I just got mine a few days ago and just looking at the lack of stitching in the connections of the webbing makes me not want to use it (even though I did once so far). I am...
Never seen a keg setup outside of a fridge or "keezer" other than commercial beer in a bucket of ice for a party.
If the beer is warmer, than the CO2 will absorb slowly. If cold, more rapidly. In a tub like that I would say you should be ok with 48 hours at that pressure, maybe even 72. The...
Glad to hear it didn't break. Have you determined HOW the brewhauler gave way? I'm curious since I just ordered one to get my carboy in and out of my keezer. Up until now I have been using spotted gloves and luck to not drop one, and here it looks like my solution may be a little on the iffy side.
Just like it says, is your CO2 inside or outside of your keezer or kegerator? I have seen both ways in the build department and most commercial kegerators have it inside, soooo?
Probably not.
Don't you have a tube for testing beer in http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000NDHGEM/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20
I would not recommend putting ANYTHING into a full batch of beer. If the hydrometer is cracked, finish it off in a trash can and get another. I could have a small graveyard...
I think it has to do with the billion flies that want to enter my brew pot while I'm fly sparing. I spend the entire hour or so in my oven of a garage waving my hands over the brew pot trying to keep them out. I live close to a couple of dairies so there's no shortage of them and they all love...
