    Olde Puritan - new label

That is classy, but maybe try some other colors instead of yellow.

Do caps need to be sanitized?

yeah make sure to look at them after boiling, like they said the plastic seal can be ruined, but it hasn't happened to me with a quick boil.

Making use of an old yeast cake

I haven't done this yet. Do you do this out of a primary fermenter? If so, are you concerned with all the trub, like settled out hops and grains, things that aren't yeast.

    Recipe Construction

What if you used the chocolate malt, roasted barley, and crystal 120 for a porter? Why wouldn't this work?

    Out of Star San...

yes, I wash them first with a bit of soap and hot water. Rinse. Then use two capfuls of bleach with 5 gallons of cold water and let sit for 15 minutes. Rinse very thoroughly with the hottest water and you're set. Do the same for the bottles or put the bottles in the dishwasher on the steam...

    Dealing with spent grain

Could you use a ton of left-over grain and make more beer with it? It might not be any good to you, but you could push it off on people or sell it cheap to your friends.

Bottle my bear 2 days ago.

Sort of off topic......If you saw "I was bitten" last night, you would've seen a man retell the story of how he had his face bitten of by a grizzly bear and lived. I like backpacking, but I'll stick to black bear territory. At least they say to fight aggressively against one, not lie and play...

    big scottish ale label

scottish ales are becoming my favorite brews, though I haven't made any yet. I'm shootin for one my next batch. Do you mind sharin your recipe?

    Suck it, bottles.

I personally do not mind bottling, it's a part of the process for me. I brew everything from start to finish in solitude. If I had a bar in my apartment then I might consider kegging, but for the extra money, I'll just make a lot more beer than buy a keg set up.

    Lagering outside
