Calling All CPAs - Beer Tax Deductible?

I'm a CPA candidate, and generally not a tax specialist. But if you are running it like a true business (start an LLC, keep accurate records, business bank accounts) and actually turn a profit from it, then I see no reason why you couldn't deduct the cost of beer. Regarding clothes, there is...

    Beer pours at restaurants (BW3's)

Moderately off topic, do BW3 usually have decent beers on tap? My local sports bar has okay stuff, and there is a BW3 down the road. I'd check it out if they had worthwhile brews.

I like to meet halfway. Deathbrewer's partial mash method has worked pretty good for me so far.

Off flavors from high temp conditioning?

Hi all, I know that off flavors can come from higher temp conditions during fermentation. However, once fermentation is complete and the beer is conditioning in the bottles, can these off flavors still come up. I have some blond ales that I've been storing in my room, where it is often in the...

    Hefe conditioning

Rather than start a new thread, I'll ask here. Are ferm/conditioning times similar for hefeweizens and dunkelweizens?

    Dear SONY:

Yeah, my PS3 is fantastic as a BR player. I wished they'd figure out how to really get the most out of it programming games, but I digress.

I need a great fool proof 1st kit

Someone mentioned not to do anything with steeping or lots of hops additions. My first beer I steeped grains, and I think we had three or four hop additions. Steeping isn't hard in my opinion, and hop additions aren't really a big deal either if your right down when you're supposed to do...

    Brewing in Pairs

Buy your own crap and go your own way. If you want to brew together later, you have that option too. I brew with a guy who keeps the equipment at his place, and he has everything sanitized before I get there. Who knows what he is doing with that crap.

Can I get a sanity check on my first AG pale ale recipe?

Yeah, I was afraid of that. I've edited it with a smaller amount of darker crystal.

Can I get a sanity check on my first AG pale ale recipe?

Hey everybody, I'm considering doing my first AG recipe in a few weeks. I'm doing half batches on my stove top. Wanting to break into my Designing Great Beers, I came up with a pretty simple recipe and wanted to make sure it looked okay. Grains: 5 lbs Pale Ale Malt .25 lb 60L Crystal Hops...

    3 Gallon Carboy Dimensions?

Thanks guys. I think a 3 gallon with an airlock may be a bit close height wise, I'm considering just putting them in three one gallons.

    3 Gallon Carboy Dimensions?

Hello all, I've done a handful of extract brews, and I've decided to start doing smaller 2.5 gallon batches for a number of reasons, including wanting to do a full boil on an electric stove, and being able to brew more often. My question is, does anyone know the dimensions of a 3 gallon...
