    Summer 2023 Corny Keg "Giveaway

Me? Probably 2 to 3, but conventional wisdom seems to be 8 to 10 concurrent kegs.

Spice, Herb, or Vegetable Beer Der Wolpertinger Hard root Beer

This one began life as an oatmeal stout and has become my most requested brew on tap. I have made versions with Zatarain's and with Gnome root beer extract. Both are good but they have different characters. The Zatarain's is a more traditional spicy root beer: less sweet, more spices coming...

    Bad seal on flip tops?

I went this route when I started, and still prefer the perceived economy of the flip-tops. However, after determining that I was losing about 35% of each batch to leaky gaskets, I bought some special silicone gaskets off Ebay that were recommended here. That got me down to about 25% loss. Then I...

    mini keg vs. pressurized growler?

Great thoughts, keep 'em coming. I have to admit, the more I think about it, the more I like the cannonball for flexibility.

    mini keg vs. pressurized growler?

I didn't find a thread addressing this, so I'd like to get opinions. I am now kegging most of my brew. I want to be able to take some brew with me to gatherings to share. I've been looking at pressurized growlers like the uKeg 128 and similar, but at that price I could also buy a cannonball...

    Northern Brewer Replacement

I'll add a vote for my LHBS Homebrew Heaven. They're located in Everett, Washington but ship all over. Like most homebrewers, they're friendly and give great customer service.

If you're at a loss after this thread, you might need another homebrew.

Irish Red Ale Copperhead Red Ale

So my first batch has been in primary for about three weeks and then another week in secondary. SG seems to be holding steady at 1.025, does that seem right? It strikes me as still pretty darn sweet, but it hasn't changed in almost two weeks.

    Vintage Label Tutorial

Excellent work on the tutorial. It gave me a lot to think about, admittedly more work than I usually am willing to do, though. :)

    Nervous BIAB newbie

I ran my first all grain BIAB last night. Mashed with 6 gallons, pulled and drained the grains, and then sparged with 2 gallons. I ended up with 5 gallons of clear wort going into the fermenter at the target OG. I would like to have had a bit more going in to account for trub loss later when...

Irish Red Ale Copperhead Red Ale

I brewed up a batch of this last night as my first attempt at all grain and BIAB. Went surprisingly smoothly (I'm still amazed I pulled it off). During the boile I kept thinking "I thought this would be redder." But when the trub dropped out during the chilling and I got a look at the true...

    Nervous BIAB newbie

Thanks Gavin. I spent some time watching BIAB videos on YouTube last night and saw others doing the same thing. I appreciate your clear instructions. :)
