    Nope, just added the 1 oz liberty hops at the end. Going to use another hop besides Saaz the next time.

    Very good base i would say. Not hoppy at all. Used the wyeast kolsch. Will be retrying this recipe in the next month or 2

    3pounds light gold malt 3 pounds pilsner malt Steeped some honey malt before adding extract 1/4 cup o wheat for body Added 2 oz whole leaf Saaz hops at beginning boil 1 oz liberty at 15 mins before end of boil. Will be ready on sunday. Thoughts on my recipe?

    2 malt extracts for kolsch

    Havent brewed it yet. Still working on it but i'll be brewing it after christmas. I know wheat isnt true to the style, but we'll how it turns out. I could always remove it if i think it would benefit

    2 malt extracts for kolsch

    Thinking about doing a kolsch with 2 malts. 3lb Gold and 3lb pilsner malt extract. It sounds good in my head. Followed by 0.25ish pounds of a wheat dried malt and then hops, yadda yadda. Thoughts as far as the 2 malts for a kolsch style?

    beer losing flavor after time

    Time in fermentation for both was two weeks. Bottle conditioning was 2 weeks. Opened both the day after conditioning was done. The kolsch i should say the honey added a heavy sweetness to it, butterscotch like. But the week after most if not all has depleted. Im using safale 005 i believe
