    how "open" was it? if it was just a lil open you should be okay. The positive pressure of the CO2 escaping the bukkit should keep nasties and O2 from getting in.

    its okay to use it straight from the tap. It will also help to cool your wort even more before you pitch your yeast. If your tap water tastes good (not chemically, or minerally etc. ) Its okay to brew with.
