    Are people using .5lbs of carapils mainly just for head retention?

    Great thanks! This means that since I have 20 lb unmalted wheat (and I use about .5 lbs in every recipe) that I don't need to put carapils in any recipe? Therefore I don't need to buy it?

    I'm still confused about when and how to boil the wheat. Before/after crushing? Do I then discard the water its boiled in?

    What do you mean "pre cook the wheat?" From what I read on the link you provided, I can use 50/50 two row and unmalted wheat and it should convert? Maybe 60/40 to be safe?
