    Exploding Possibility?

I agree with everything buMbLeB said above. I have had the airlock pop off before due to vigorous fermentation. I just pushed the thing back down after cleaning the clogged airlock and moved on. Anyway, after watching your short video you have nothing to worry about.

    Length of 10/3 for 30amp

I see some debate above is driven from a little ambiguity in the original question. Eamster. Are you running this circuit as romex to the outlet? I get the feeling that some of the replies are from people thinking your are running a 50 foot 10/3 extension cord.

    110 breaker tripping

Awesome. Well test away on that system. If your 115v breaker still trips, I would try changing the power to the pid from your 220v breaker to the 115v breaker. I'm not sure what SSR you are using, but they are not all electrically isolated from the control side to the switched side...

    110 breaker tripping

Cool. I'm starting to feel better about this. Sorry for making more work for you but if we are going to resolve problems lets get all of them resolved. So it is not well explained yet so lets tackle the next possible point. Which is what you called that neutral bus in your control cabinet. Do...

    110 breaker tripping

So it sounds like you have 3 breakers feeding the control cabinet. Two 240V breakers and one 120V breaker. First for you 240V breakers. Please leave the coiled neutral wire connected to the neutral bus in the panel. Take your neutral from the 240V circuit and land that to the terminal on the...

    110 breaker tripping

From a quick overview. It looks like your switching the pid with a source that is not supplied from the 15A GFCI. Is that correct? I'm guessing here, but I think that is what is causing the breaker to trip. Try using the same hot to switch the SSR that supplies your element. I think you are...

    Damage to Spa Panel

I would remove the breaker from the panel and take it to home depot for a damaged item return. They would probably take it with no questions asked.

5500w element taking a long time to heat

I'm not to familiar with the Brew Boss, I would check to see what kind of duty cycle your running through your SSR to the element. It should be 100% if just starting to heat like you described. You can also eliminate the ssr completely to the element and just run through your contactor. See...

    Wire Crimpers

Please don't give poor advice lschiavo. Yes you can do the reverse wrap for stranded, but I would never recommend that to another person. You can make your own choices for your projects, but if I caught you doing that as an electrician I would probably run you off the job. Its something you get...

Need some help troubleshooting my 50A GFI breaker...

That is a very good explanation of how gfcis work ajdelange.

Need some help troubleshooting my 50A GFI breaker...

Your right. The neutral and ground being bonded together in your brew controller is causing the problem. You just need to find the point where that is happening and sever that point making sure that grounds all remain together, and the neutrals all remain together.

Need some help troubleshooting my 50A GFI breaker...

Scary as hell to me that you would choose to use a 100amp breaker to test the integrity of your wiring when you know that your 50amp breaker trips, but to each their own. I would never recommend that to someone though. So with your 50 amp gfci breaker installed in your circuit. Have you...

    Breaker went bad

So with the red black lifted your main breaker hold... Thats good. This leads me to believe its the actual panel and not the breaker that is causing you a problem. If you have all the wires, green, white, black, red lifted in the spa panel and check continuity between the following points...

    Breaker went bad

I see. So both breakers are tripping then? So one more time, is the breaker in your main panel also a GFCI breaker? The reason I am asking is occasionally (and this is often enough where its worth me asking) feeding a GFCI with another GFCI will cause them to trip for no reason. Actually there...

    Breaker went bad

Oh cool. So it sounds like we have isolated the problem to your old panel. So one more question. What kind of breaker are you using in your main panel to feed your spa panel? Is it also a GFCI? The next step I would take is to turn off the breaker that is feeding your spa panel. With a meter...
