At a beer tasting a couple months back I talked to a guy from stone about the yeast in the bottle.. He said they filter out all the yeast prior to bottling then use a different strain just for bottling.. Might explain why it sucked??

Everything I brew now though I only use the light DME (pilsen) regardless of style. I've had better luck using just lighted DME I can get, then adjusting color using crystal..

Congrats! I just made the jump after 4 batches, did my 1st keg last night of an IPA, SO much easier! Did you get a beer gun also? I haven't used mine yet (blickman, I think), but it seems very simple.

Unfortunately I don't.. I really can't find much information on this at all.. Last night I had a Just Oustanding IPA, then a Blind Pig IPA.. I have to say they don't taste far off. The bitterness was a just a little more pronounced in the Blind Pig, so I'm guessing the JO was maybe 10 ibu's...

Does anyone know if WL320 would end up close the the Wyeast 1010? I already have it on stock and would like to try this.. Also, I wonder how it would taste using WL380, I have both and need to use them! ;)
