    Looking for Pins!

Anybody know where I might find some pins that are less than $80? Wanted to do some Cask and Real Ales but don't want to do full firkins at 10 gallons/pop.

    Foggy Carboys

Thanks everyone. It was condensation so I think I'll try that T-shirt trick but I also found that if you rinse with cold water then it reduces the condensation. And when I do start getting sediment on the carboys, now I'll know what to do! Thanks again!

    Foggy Carboys

Hello homebrewers! I have recently encountered something I have never experience before and was hoping for some advice. I clean my 6.5, 6, and 5 gallon carboys by using one of the long bendable brushes and scrubbing the heck out of the insides with dish soap and water. Then I clean the...

    Still, petillant, or sparkling

So how would you make a petillant cider? Half as much priming sugar?

    Still, petillant, or sparkling

So quick question about ciders. I have recently fermented two ciders. One a cyser that finished at 13.5% and the other a New England Hard Cider that finished at 10.6%. In the past, whenever I have done ciders they were usually much lower in alcohol and I always made them sparkling in the...

    Strawberry in Beer

So do the manufacturing companies that make frozen strawberries blanch their product or pasteurize them or something before they are frozen and shipped out?

    Strawberry in Beer

Would it work if I just bought frozen berries, thawed them, and added to the secondary?

    Strawberry in Beer

So I know there are a ton of threads about this but I have a hard time wading through them all. I am about to move my beer to the secondary and I want to add 7 pounds of strawberries to the beer but I don't know if I should use fresh or frozen and how I should prep the berries before adding...

    Oatmeal for Body

I just wanted to give a quick update. The beer I am using this in is now in Tertiary and I will be bottling in about a week. After about 3 weeks, that will be ready to drink and I will let you all know how it comes out.

    Oatmeal for Body

I don't have the capabilities or the money for a kegging sytem yet but I'm hoping sometime in the future.

    Oatmeal for Body

The base style that I am working with is a sweet stout and I was looking to add body, not creaminess, so the flaked barley sounds like the best bet. How much should I use for a 5 gallon batch. It already has lactose and maltodextrin in it so I just want to make sure those will not interfere...

    Oatmeal for Body

Trying to get a little more body in my stout. Love the current flavor and don't want to modify the OG and FG too much because I'm trying to stay in style, but it definitely tastes a little watery and thin in texture. I was told that by adding in some oatmeal with the grains would help add...

    Potted hops

Is it possible to grow hops indoors? I move around a lot but I really want to start using my own hops so I didn't know if it was possible to grow my own and just keep them at a shorter length or if that would keep it from producing cones.

Working on a recipe involving pineapple....

I know there is an enzyme in some tropical fruits (like papaya) that normally breaks down proteins and such and I believe there is something similar in pineapple. Normally you can deactivate the enzyme by heating the fruit to boiling so maybe adding the pineapple to the boil or boiling before...
