    New BIAB False Bottoms

Used this for the first time last weekend, worked great; as mentioned above, recirculation was great. I don't have to worry about the recirculation piece of the brew day any longer. I was using a regular false bottom but never got the recirculation flow I was looking for; I was getting about...

    multiple bags for 10g batch?

The first time I tried BIAB I used 3 paint strainer bags in a keggle for a 10gal batch, that worked just fine, no problems. I dunk sparged in my fermenter bucket, that also worked just fine. Multiple bags are kind of a pain to deal with but will work until you get a better bag solution. I did...

Help a brother out? Considering BIAB.

    Treatment of brewing water

Couple of things, There is a really good brewing water primer in the Brew Science section, great place to start. The words "brewing water" also means "mash water"; the PH you referenced is for the mash water with the grains. You may want to check out a spreadsheet like Bru'n Water which...

    Kent Quick Disconnects?

I've been using these on my boil keg and pump for a couple of years. Being plastic you have to be a little more careful with them than stainless. I found them by accident surfing the web and bought them directly from Kent Systems. I don't have any plans to change them out; they're working for me.
