Hi,
currently I have a thermostat that cuts off the main power supply to the fridge, externally. This means that both my thermostat and the original bimetal are working. This isn't a problem until you want constant results below 45F , and the bimetal low sensitivity gets in the way.
So...
I want to get another used fridge and replace the original controller with a digital one (mount it on the door). I know I should locate the original thermostat and connect the two cables from it to my thermostat, but how do I get power for the controller? do I "steal" it from another circuit that should be somewhere around there ? I know there will be the two sides of the phase line there, since the bimetal switches the compressor, but I need the zero line too for the power to the controller, right?
Is there a guide about these connections ?
thanks a lot !
