Assuming I don't make a starter and am doing a lower gravity brew. At what point do you add the yeast nutrient? I have watched some videos where it goes in at 15 mins left in boil with the irish moss.

if your making a beer you typically don't need to add yeast nutrient. but it wont hurt anything if you do so do like the video says and add it at the end of the boil to sanitize.

Its basically vitamins for the yeast. It has things that help them multiply by providing nutrients they need to build cell walls that are not readily available in the beer. I would recommend always putting it in at the end of the boil. healthy yeast are happy yeast. and happy yeast make good beer.

I add yeast nutruent and irish moss last 15 min of boil in every batch, one tsp. per gallon moss and a "dash" of nutrient

Most jars will tell you when. I believe the Wyeast nutrients I use are put in at 15 min left on the boil. I also really only use the nutrients when making a starter.
