:rockin:well i held out for a whole 8 days from the time i bottled my first beer, and im surprised! it tastes a LOT better than it did at bottling time, im still gonna give it another week or two. but man im exited can't wait for my second batch to be done ( scottish 80) . i need to brew some more, i think ill try a porter next!! WOOT :rockin:
 
I remember drinking the grassy, apple-y, sweet, almost flat first bottle of my homebrew after 7 days in the bottle.

Still the best bottle I ever had. And one of the worst. :cross:

IMO, you can really tell a great improvement after about 2.5-3 weeks. no harm in sampling every day to learn how your beer ages but keep a private reserve stashed :mug:
