I'm new to home brew, been doing a few MB kits until I pieced together my 5gal extract equipment (with a few extra goodies :) )

I have my first batch in primary (been almost 2wks) it's a brewcraft extract kit (Heather'n Honey Brown Ale) everything seems to be moving along nicely. My temp is a bit low @ 66f instead of 70f, but I think it'll be fine.

Started a Ginger beer a few hours ago that im kinda excited about (3gal)...
2.5 lbs. Root Ginger
3 lbs. Dark dme
.5 lbs. Dark brown sugar
2 lbs. Honey
1 tsp. Vanilla
2 tsp. Cinnamon
.5 tsp nutmeg
1 lrg. Lemon
1 pkg. Lalvin D-47
And 1 tsp. Irish Moss

Estimated gravity
Start: 1.071
End: 1.018
Abv: 7%
Color: 12.9

Actual OG: 1.073

And started a 1.25 gal batch of Skeeter Pee (recipe scaled down and slightly tweaked from skeeterpee.com) at same time as gingerbeer.

I think I'm addicted...

Welcome. That Honey Brown sounds good. 66' is a fine fermentation temp for an ale. No worries.

On the other hand, that ginger beer looks like candy. Too much going on for my tastes. Enjoy what you want though, that is why you make your own! Cheers.
