Hi,
I just brewed a double ipa batch that I miss my OG (1.076) instead 1.067. Fermenting safale 05 about more than 24 hours in the primary. I want to add about 1 pound of corn sugar to boost the abv. What is best way to go about? Add corn sugar directly to the wort or I have to boil it with water. When to add the corn sugar during the active fermentation?

Looks like you already boosted your abv by starting with a higher OG. Why would you want a double IPA bigger than 1.076??

If you do add sugar to the fermenter, add it dissolved in water (simple sugar) during active fermentation.
