When you have grand delusions that you could open your own brewery.
I think anyone could open a brewery using only recipes found here - and be successful!
You should do that.
Eh, you need a lot more than good recipes to be successful. You need a solid business plan. Hell, even with a solid business plan and not great recipes you can be successful (look at No Label in Katy, TX, their beer really isn't that good but they seem to be doing well).
Friends or family come to stay and ask if you have sugar for their coffee and you give them dextrose.
I didn't say... meh, nevermind.
Mm-hmm.
I bet DME may add a little extra something if you put it in your coffee. If I added sugar to my coffee I would try it.
Ive stirred an ounce or two into buttered noodles with salt and pepper and its floccing delicious. You should try it. Super cheap easy and quick
When you go to the grocery store and buy a $20 bottle of beer and a $9 bottle of vodka.
Why does someone buy these two things? Because good beer is important, and airlocks are getting dry.
replacing regular sugar with DME in any baking recipe sounds pretty tasty
probably not a 1:1 substitution
Well now I'm just waiting for the inevitable "HELP! Same weird taste in all my baked goods!? Possible EXTRACT TWANG!!!??" thread to pop up.

Did I mention I drive a $1000 beater and do not lock doors because I leave nothing of value in it...except there. They sell also sell cocks, defeathered on order with a propane torch while you wait.
This one time, at band camp, I got my cock defeathered with a torch.. Never again!
