Brewpub coming soon!
Wondering if I get the wife to stay home I could just ride the bike there. 45 MPG vs. 17 MPG. Harder to bring beer but I'm sure I could figure something out. It does have hard saddle bags.![]()

Yoop, are there any seasonal roads or two tracks required to get to your place? Just wondering if I should take the WRX or the truck.
It is the U.P. afterall.![]()
Homercidal said:Well, it's not REQUIRED to get there, but I bet you could find a few if you were lookin!:cross:
Hey Yooper! I'll pitch the idea to my wife. Depending on how it is looking up there as far as space we could bring our pop-up camper. We do have a big (dumb but lovable) dog we'd bring tooSo we going with August 6th?

Yooper said:Dumb lovable dogs are always welcome! I haven't heard any complaints yet about August 6, so that is my date unless something else works better for a majority.
I think the snowmobile trails are mostly closed to other traffic, and the Watersmeet ORV loops don't make it that far. You'll have to bring a "real" vehicle! I think it's M26 that goes down to US 45, and it's a nice way to come.
Glad to hear there will be a second annual! I had a great time last year except starting the day with a bit of a hangover and then once it wore off having to leave too early. I will bring a tent this year and spend the night.
Yooper said:We can probably rustle up a bed for you, but if you like a tent, then of course you can do that.
Or, invite your dad and use HIS car and gas! We like your dad, so that would be a win/win!
As you know I used to hunt in watersmeet with him when I was younger. That was many trips there and back with him and his ****ty driving. I would like to leave that behind me and not do it again thank you very much.
Hi Yooper, yeah, a brewday sounds great. Last years' was great times! Like Leon, I may have to pack a tent in the car this year myself.
Bob just told me that your dad apparently made it from the bridge to Watersmeet in three hours one time! I said, "But it's a five hour drive!" and Bob said your dad apparently went 80 miles on two-lane roads to get there. HAHAHA!
Talked to the wife, she wouldn't be in or it but that doesn't mean I won't, just have to seeHave to visit my hop plants anyway

Looks like I'm outWe have a cookout at our house that day apparently.
That's too bad. I wish I could make up there for the big party. We're still on for the week that Kim goes to MTU, and I doubt I could drive up for an additional weekend (but maybe I'll hint about wanting to go up there for the brewday too and see what happens. Maybe if I give backrubs and save up gas money I can afford to go, both financially and marriageally.) :cross:
So is there an official date? I browsed back 3 pages and didn't see it...

Homer, when are you going to Houghton?
It's on the first or second page. August 6th I think, or the next weekend if that one doesn't work out.
I have it on my calendar for August 6th. Last I talked with Yooper, she said there was not much interest and it probably would not happen. I hope thats not the case. It was a good time last year. Anyone out there actully willing to comit?
