Currently out of anything hoppy, so I decided that yesterday I'd brew something. Chose an American Pale Ale and got stuff around on Saturday.

Sunday got my brew going about 9:30-10:00. Brewed up a Pale Ale with Centennial and Chinook. Done about 2:30.

Made dinner.

About 7:00 I text a buddy about splitting some ingredients I have for a Club Project KBS clone. I think I'm going to brew tonight.

Then I realized I have liquid yeast and I don't have a starter! Go to grab some DME and mix up some starter wort and I'm out of DME!

So I end up grinding some grain in the garage at night so mash some starter wort so I can get the stirplate running before bed!

Man, I wish I had taken the time to can a bunch of starter wort in the pressure canner! It sure makes preparing a starter a LOT faster and easier!

That's devotion.

i played with my yeasts for most of the day yesterday while running cleaner around the system

although, admittedly, this is an older photo. My windowsill is much too cold now so I have them all on my kitchen island. Its full right now with 9 starter vessels. Problem is, I need to make another small one for another HBTer. I think I have a 1L flask to boil some dme in...I am waaay too accident prone to own a pressure cooker

so, if your buddy was brewing at 7pm last night, did you have to go over there for another brew day? Or are you bringing him the starter for it today?
