Yeast Starter Question

I am planning a New Years Day brew of Hoppiness is an IPA from Brewing Classic Styles and it calls for a 3 liter starter. I have a 2L and a 1L flask - is there a way I can split the yeast into both flasks? Is it as simple as pouring 2/3 of the yeast into 1 flask and 1/3 into the other? I wouldn't have a precise way of distributing it other than eyeballing.

A 2L starter is enough. Don't sweat it.

fill the 2L add yeast. shake good. fill the 1L from the contents of the 2L and top off the 2L.
