I started my first lager yeast starter two days ago (today is brew day), and I realized that my initial proportions for the starter were off. I used 1/2 cup of DME but then used 4 pints of water instead of 2. I'm assuming this would make my OG lower than it should be?

Yesterday, I fixed the proportions for my next propogation and combined it with the original starter.

Should I be worrying about the mishap in proportions of this particular starter?

A 5g batch of lager needs more than a quart starter anyway, IMO.
I'm not a fan of the technique, but you may want to pitch at 60-62 and then cool it the next day. Won't be the cleanest lager, but I'd rather that than an underattenuated lager.
In the future you might consider starting at least a half-gallon of wort. (I do a gallon for standard-strength lagers.) Even better if you can take a few days to step up to it.
