Hi all, I am new to the forums, but have been reading them since i started brewing a little over a year ago. I am doing a high gravity extract beer(5gal batch) with an estimated OG of 1.094. The recipe calls for White Labs Belgian ale #WLP550. I have been trying to figure out how much yeast I need. Using yeastcalc it says i need 318 Billion yeast cells. What size starter should I make? How many yeast viles should I use? I will be using a stir plate. Thanks for any help, just after reading multiple other threads and websites i have confused myself and want to make sure i get the right amount of yeast.
