I got some Nottingham yeast packets from local HB store and when I got home I went to put them in the frig and noticed the packets got wet at one time but was dry now. The packets seemed to be hard, are they still good?

I'm really done with this brew store in Tulsa, I have been burned by them one to many times!

Thanks

High Gravity?

Impossible to say. IIRC, most yeast packets are foil lined paper so there should be no harm done if simply wetted. best way to tell is to proof a packet.

The new Notty packets are vacuum packed whereas the old ones were not. Are you sure it's not just the new packaging that's making them hard?

It maybe vacuum sealed but the package has water marks over half the package and they most deffintetally got wet.

yes High gravity!

Pretty sure that if the water got inside the packet the vacuum would obviously be gone and the packet would have swollen, possibly even shot its you know what.

Thanks guys
I'll try it and if not I have extra, I always keep lots on hand!
