Anyone use White Labs English Ale 002 lately? I pitched it 12 hrs ago and i understand that it is very highly flocculent. Thus, I believe most of the yeast has settled to the bottom. So, I gave the bucket a little swirl to agitate it. Should I have kept the airlock on, or taken it off(which I did)? Also, how often should I do this if I am not seeing any action in the airlock. As I read, it should bubble pretty vigorously in the first 4 days.

For those who will ask- the temp is a consistent 67*- directions say best between 65-68*. I didn't use a starter because I just came back from a business trip and didnt have time.

Thanks for any help and advice

There is actually an equation:

While waiting for active fermentation, the amount of beer you drink constitutes a parallel decrease in the amount of time you perceive waiting to be.
