I am hoping to harvest some yeast from a growler of Mac &Jack's African Amber I purchased this afternoon. Theoretically it is unfiltered, so beeing a complete noob to the process of yeast harvesting, is it possible to harvest from here, or am I wasting my time?

You probably wont be able to harvest yeast from the growler. After about 2 or 3 pints of of my keg the beers running pretty clear. But there's only one way to find out. make astarter and pitch whatevers on the bottom of that growler. might get lucky.

So I made a starter, and within 16 hours there is activity. First time I have done this, very cool!
